So, here we go: first bit of actual blogging. In Attack of the Clones, Jango Fett guns down Coleman Trebor. No big deal; it’s just adding to the battle sequence. Right? Wrong. This is probably the most innocuous, yet important part of the movie. Coleman Trebor is a Jedi Master on the Jedi Council; he’s not a padawan in over his head. Yet Jango Fett manages to best him in combat. Now, follow me for a moment. Why is this significant? Because the Republic now as a whole army of clones of this guy: the Republic essentially has an entire army of this guy, this guy who can kill a member of the Jedi Council. That’s great in everything, but this should raise some flags: Jango admits he was recruited by a man named Tyranus. At the end of the movie, Darth Sidious reveals that his apprentice, Count Dooku, is that very man, Tyranus. So essentially we are told that the clone army was created by the Sith, so it’s a safe bet that it is under their control. Jango Fett’s ability to quickly dispatch Coleman Trebor foreshadows what the clone army was ultimately created for: to execute Order 66.

In short, I think this scene is one of the most significant scenes in the prequel trilogy, yet it is easily overlooked.

Frigga made Jane immortal while she was hiding her, by turning her into an Asgardian the same way Odin did to Loki as a baby. Jane and Thor don’t know this yet. She’s not going to die any time soon.
